ALARACT 236/2011 SUSPENSION OF FAVORABLE PERSONNEL ACTIONS (FLAGS), DTG 201354Z JUN 11. This message
emphasizes that unit commanders must ensure compliance with the requirements of AR 600-8-2 to initiate, review, and remove
flags as appropriate. Poor flag management is detrimental to the force's morale and negatively impacts the Army's ability to
manage the force by making timely and informed human resource decisions. Commanders and S1's must ensure proper
procedures are in place and routinely exercised to ensure compliance with AR 600-8-2.
ALARACT 235/2011 ESTABLISHMENT OF SI/ASI L8 (JOINT OPERATIONS FIRES AND EFFECTS (JOFE)), DTG 201349Z JUN
11. This message provides notification of future changes to the Military Occupational Classification and Structure (MOCS) for
implementation. It establishes SI L8 for association with AOC 13A (Field Artillery, General) in grades CPT-COL to identify
personnel and positions associated with JOFE qualification. For enlisted it establishes ASI L8 for association with MOS 13F (Fire
Support Specialist) at skill level 4 and MOS 13Z (Field Artillery Senior Sergeant) to identify personnel and positions associated
with JOFE qualification.

LEADER), DTG 201343Z JUN 11. This message provides notification of future changes to the Military Occupational Classification
and Structure (MOCS) for implementation. It establishes enlisted SQI U (75th Ranger Regiment Leader) to identify positions and
personnel in any MOS (skill level 2-6) who have specialized training and experience within the 75th Ranger Regiment. Selected
positions and personnel transferred from SQI C and V.

association with ASI F7 at skill level 3 and 4.
ALARACT 231/2011 REVISION OF MILITARY OCCUPATIONAL SPECIALTY (MOS) 25E (ELECTRONIC SPECTRUM MANAGER),
DTG 201326Z Jun 11. This message provides notification of future change to the Military Occupational Classification and
Structure (MOCS) for implementation. It revises the MOS 25E specifications and qualification prerequisites to allow Soldiers in any
Army MOS in grade SSG (E6) (E5(P) with approved waiver) who otherwise meet the criteria in the message to apply for
reclassification into MOS 25E.
ALARACT 230/2011 CHANGES TO WEAR OF THE ARMY COMBAT UNIFORM (ACU) ITEMS, DTG 171800Z JUN 11. This
message announces the release of the changes to the wear of the ACU items directive, signed by the Secretary of the Army as
Army Directive 2011-11 (Changes to Wear of the Army Combat Uniform (ACU) Items), dated 13 Jun 11, which makes the ACU
patrol cap the primary duty uniform headgear for all Soldiers wearing the ACU. It also changes policies for sew on of items on the
ACU, as well as clarifies identification badges authorized for wear on the ACU.
ALARACT 229/2011 MOD 2 TO ALARACT 329/2010 CHANGE OF ADDRESS ON THE MEDICAL RECORD JACKET (MRJ), DTG
171508Z JUN 11. The US Army MEDCOM mailing address and medical record proponency points of contact have changed.
Notification of same must be communicated to ensure that medical records jackets (MRJ) are sent to the correct address by the
medical records custodian. Effective immediately, Commander USAMEDCOM directs the changing of the forwarding mailing
address on DA Form 3444 and 8005 series medical record jacket (MRJ) in order to redirect medical and dental records found
outside normal DOD channels to USAMEDCOM.

171401Z JUN 11. This message requires commanders of ACOMs, ASCCs, DRUs to include Army elements of USF-I, USF-A, and
selected ARSTAF principals (Dir ARNG, Chief Army Reserve) provide a commander's written assessment on military
preparedness in implementing the repeal of DADT, and selected Army staff principles provide a written staff estimate to the CSA
regarding preparation for the repeal of DADT. All written assessments or estimates are due to HQDA NLT 24 Jun 11.
